Pictured is President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, officially opening the 61st BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) which began today and will take place until Saturday, January 11. President Higgins and his wife Sabina toured the exhibition, met with this year’s finalists, and learned more about their incredible projects. 

On the first day of the 2025 BTYSTE, which marks BT Ireland’s 25th year as custodian of the exhibition, over 1,000 secondary school finalists arrived at the RDS Dublin to set up their projects and met with the judges as the first round of judging began. The 2025 BTYSTE and Primary Science Fair opens to the public from tomorrow, Thursday, January 09 to Saturday, January 11, and limited tickets to visit the exhibition are still available to purchase at https://www.ticketing.btyoungscientist.com.
